Solari shelves Aguas Nuevas sale

It looks like the Japanese have come off worst again in the battle for Chilean water exposure. The owners of Aguas Nuevas have elected to expand into other markets instead.

Chile’s fourth-largest water company Aguas Nuevas has scrapped plans for a sale to Japanese trading houses Mitsui & Co. and Marubeni Corp., and says it aims to expand in Colombia and Peru.
