The pace of change quickens

In the new edition of the Pinsent Masons Water Yearbook, David Lloyd Owen finds that there are still hurdles for international private water operators, despite a jump in the number of contracts awarded.

Last year, we identified the increasing time lag between contracts being awarded and the winners being identified. Given the sheer intensity of market development, especially in South East Asia, this is even more pertinent today. This time last year, we had identified contract awards serving 20 million people during 2006.
