* In India, the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal finally found against Karnataka state in a judgement handed down at the beginning of February.
The move, which comes after 17 years of deliberation, was met with immediate dismay – and a 12-hour general strike in Bangalore. It is the first time India’s water crisis has directly impacted business in India’s IT capital so directly.
