The World Bank has restructured the part of the organisation with includes its water sector activities.

A new grouping, modishly named the Sustainable Development Network, has been set up through the merger of the Infrastructure Department and the Environmental & Socially Sustainable Development Department. Kathy Sierra, former boss of infrastructure, will head the new group. The hope is that the Bank can make sustainability its competitive advantage. It certainly needs one.
