* French environmental consultant Sogreah has cemented its presence in Romania by acquiring a majority stake in Bucharest-based consultancy firm Enviro-Asist.

The deal was inked on 2 April by Sogreah president Jacques Gaillard, and means that Sogreah now has a presence in Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine, as well as full-blown subsidiaries in Poland and Cyprus.
