* In late May, Veolia signed its 22nd wateragreement in China with TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Area) Investment Holding Co., Ltd. to set up a joint venture, whereby Veolia will own 49% and TEDA 51%.

The RMB300 million ($39.2 million) collaboration is planned to be increased to RMB1.8 billion ($235.4 million) in the near future. The JV’s first project will be the TEDA WWTP, though its priority will be to invest in and operate other water projects in the Binhai New Area in Tianjin.
