* GECOL is set to launch the tender process for the first in a series of power and water plants in Libya at the end of June, when it issues a request for proposals for the Tobruk plant.

The plant’s capacity has been increased to 150,000m3/d from the initially planned 100,000m3/d. In contrast to previous plans, GECOL will follow the Tobruk plant with a 200,000m3/d facility to be located at Misurata. The Misurata RFP is expected to be issued a few weeks later.
