* Argentina’s southern province Chubut plans to spend $500 million over the next three years to overhaul its water and sanitation infrastructure, according to provincial governor Mario Das Neves.

Part of an ambitious $2.2 billion plan to renew roads, ports and housing, the province will draw on state, local and multilateral financing, as well as public-private partnerships, particularly for the clean-up of the Chubut river system.
