The Riyadh wastewater PPP is one of the largest in the region, involving 1,700,000m<sup>3</sup>/d of design capacity. The tender strategy is still being fine-tuned.
One of the ways in which the Saudi Ministry of Water and Electricity can best achieve optimum results during the privatisation process is to stagger the various elements of its tender processes to the extent that ministry officials (and those pitching for the business) have a manageable quota of work at any given time.
