* The signs are that interest in the UK’s regulated water utilities sector is peaking (see chart p23).
It seems that this has nothing to do with the prospects for the sector itself, and everything to do with the turmoil in the credit markets. Investors are not worried about whether the water companies can finance themselves, but they are worried about whether the infrastructure funds, which have hitherto been prepared to pay vast sums for UK water companies ...
