A deal with local water partner Gelsenwasser should bring savings for the German city of Herne.
Gelsenwasser is “significantly expanding” its wastewater activities by cooperating with the city of Herne, which lies close to Gelsenwasser’s home town of Gelsenkirchen, in the Ruhr valley. Various authorities, including the federal cartel office and the Arnsberg regional government, have now rubber stamped the “Herne wastewater model” so that implementation can go ahead.
