The case for compulsory metering grows

Water-stressed areas in England and Wales have moved a step closer to compulsory metering. It will have to fight for its place in the battle to secure long-term security of supply.

Compulsory metering could be applied to customers living in those areas of England and Wales which are under greatest water stress, the Government announced in mid-August.
