This year’s GWI/OECD water tariff survey shows some movement in Eastern Europe and parts of the US, though Africa, Latin America and much of Asia sleep on. What is the story behind the numbers?
Global water tariffs rose by 5.9% during the year to July 2007 – suggesting that the pressures on the sector are starting to feed through to higher prices. Our survey, conducted in association with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, covers 259 cities with a total population of 498 million.
