* Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Water and Electricity has been keeping up the momentum on its privatisation programme, announcing the list of pre-qualified bidders for the Jeddah management contract in late August.
Five of the groups automatically received the RFP on account of having qualified for the similar PPP in Riyadh, though two new consortia successfully negotiated the tight bidding schedule to pre-qualify (see story p27).
