Suez and la Caixa reinforce Agbar acquisition agreement

Agbar’s heavyweight shareholders have tightened their grip on the Catalan company even further. Board meetings will never be the same again.

Having finally secured a majority stake of 56.46% in Agbar last November, key shareholders Suez Environment and Criteria CaixaCorp have committed themselves to consensually agreeing all decisions on Agbar’s board, “in order to establish a common policy for managing” the Catalan company.
