Algeria readies new batch of WWTPs

The authorities in Algeria will tender 11 new wastewater treatment plants later this year. It is predicted a further 30 will be required by 2020.
The Ministry of Water Resources in Algeria will launch tenders for 11 new wastewater treatment plants before the end of the year.
The plants represent the final instalment of a 35-plant construction programme launched in 2006 that aims to nearly double Algeria’s installed wastewater treatment capacity from 959,000m3/d to 1.78 million m3/d by 2010.
