Hanoi looks to decentralised wastewater

Rapid growth has forced the Vietnamese capital to look into implementing a decentralised wastewater system. A German research team is leading the initiative.

A research project to develop modern wastewater infrastructure in Hanoi in Vietnam has been launched in Germany by the International Water Research Alliance Saxony (IWAS).

The partners in the alliance are Dresden’s wastewater enterprise Stadtentwässerung Dresden, and its minority stakeholder Gelsenwasser, the Technische Universität Dresden and the Helmholtz Centre for environment research in Leipzig.
