* Inima has been awarded the contract to expand the desalination plant in Los Cabos, Baja California, said Roberto Contreras, head of drinking water and sanitation at Conagua in Mexico.

The expansion will double capacity of the Los Cabos plant to 34,560m3/d to meet growing demand from hotels and the surrounding city. The concession is a 20-year BOT, with the government paying a portion of the USD20 million project cost through the National Infrastructure Fund, and Inima covering the remainder.
