Contracts for five new plants will be on offer in 2009-10 as the drive to modernise the governorate’s wastewater system continues.
Haya Water (formerly Oman Wastewater Services Company) will launch tenders in 2009 and early 2010 for five new wastewater treatment plants to serve the Muscat governorate. The contracts, which will be procured on a designbuild basis, form part of the USD4 billion Muscat wastewater scheme, and will be worth approximately USD300 million.
