Israel’s bulk water supplier uses 7% of the country’s power output. It is investigating ways of cutting its annual bill by investing in renewable energy projects.
Israel’s Mekorot Water Company is planning to invest in alternative energy projects as part of an effort to diversify its sources of supply, and to reduce expenses. A plan is now in the process of being drawn up and is expected to be presented next year to the company’s board of directors.
