AECOM snaps up Earth Tech and Boyle

After 12 years under the Tyco banner, Earth Tech has finally been sold to AECOM. It is AECOM’s most significant water buy since the Maunsell/Metcalf & Eddy deal in 2000.
Technical and support services group AECOM single-handedly furthered the cause of consolidation in the design-build industry in mid-February, when it announced agreements on consecutive days to purchase Earth Tech and Boyle Engineering. Earth Tech, which posted revenues of $1.3 billion in 2007, is being sold for $510 million, while the terms of the Boyle deal were undisclosed.
