* Veolia announced a bullish set of sales figures for 2007 on 5th February, and promised more to come, with the explanation that demand for water and waste services is growing, despite the economic slowdown.

Top line sales growth for the year was up 14% to €32.6 billion, with Veolia Water up 8.3% to €10.9 billion. The Asia Pacific region was the star of the show, with 47% sales appreciation thanks to growth in China, Japan, Korea and Australia.
