Bids in for Aquapor privatization

Águas de Portugal is one step closer to choosing a buyer for its concessions arm. Bidders will need to speak Portuguese to be in with a chance.

Following a short delay, bids were eventually submitted on 4th March for the impending privatisation of Aquapor, the concessions arm of Águas de Portugal. Almost 30 companies had expressed an interest in bidding for the company, and although a significant number were Portuguese, foreign interest has also been robust.
