New partnership to boost German PPPs

A new consultancy is being set up to advise the German public sector on PPP strategy. ‘Partnerschaften Deutschland’ will itself be structured as a public-private partnership.
The German finance ministry plans to establish a consultancy company that will advise public sector decisionmakers on public-private partnership activity, in particular during the early stages of project design. The aim is to encourage PPP projects in Germany, thereby raising the share of private investment in the public domain from 4% to 15%.
