* Modern Water, the “pre-revenue” water technology start-up, saw its share price jump 25% after announcing its first set of full-year results – administrative costs of £2.7 million against net interest of £1 million from its £29 million cash pile.

The excitement seems to be associated with the announcement that it had its first commercial desalination plant contract – a 100m3/d facility in Gibraltar, and that it had applied for a patent for using its forward osmosis technology in power generation.
