* Layne Christensen’s shareholders were rejoicing in early April after the company posted a record set of results for the year ended 31 Jan 2008.

Revenues were up 20.1% to $868.3 million, with net income up 41.9% to $37.3 million, sending the share price northwards by nearly 22%. Revenues in the water infrastructure division rose by 20.2% to $639.6 million, of which $49.3 million was attributable to recent acquisition activity.
