Agbar helps Iberdrola exit the water sector

Aguas Andinas has continued its march into Chile by relieving Iberdrola of its last remaining water asset.
Spain’s biggest electricity generator Iberdrola has reached an agreement to sell its 51% stake in Chilean water operator ESSAL (Empresa de Servicios Sanitarios de los Lagos) to Agbar-controlled Aguas Andinas for CLP72.5 billion (€103 million), the company announced at the end of March.
