Severn Trent has accepted the blame for providing false information to the regulator. It is keen to draw a line under previous transgressions.
Ofwat announced on 8th April that it intends to fine Severn Trent Water £35.8 million for deliberately providing false information and for providing a poor service to its customers. The fine, equivalent to 3% of the company’s turnover, follows similar penalties imposed on Southern Water and Thames Water.
