Access to tax-exempt financing for US water infrastructure has long been the privilege of municipalities. A new bill is set to change all that, as Kathy Shandling explains.
Hot on the heels of the recently introduced Blumenauer bill, which calls for a “US Commission on Rebuilding America for the 21st Century”, as well as the proposed legislation that would set up a National Water Trust Fund, two congressmen have joined forces to promote a bi-partisan initiative that specifically focuses on water infrastructure funding.
