* Another new water pure play on the way is Kemira – the Finnish water treatment chemical company which is also one of GWI’s oldest subscribers.
It is spinning off its coatings division and refocusing the entire business on water (see story p18).
* Chemical companies are clearly feeling the pressure to do something right now. Dow has made a USD18.8 billion bid for Rohm & Haas, while Ashland has offered USD3.3 billion for Hercules. There is some overlap in the water sector on both deals ...
