Conagua is looking for private investment to fund 3.5 million m3/d of new wastewater treatment capacity. Leticia Lozano reports.
Mexico is launching a USD2.3 billion plan to restore the hydrological balance in the Valley of Mexico, home to Mexico City. Six new wastewater treatment plants will be built and four dams modernised, in an attempt to tackle the effects of years of underinvestment and growing water shortages.
