* Modern Water announced on 15 September that it had signed an agreement with the Ministry of Water and Electricity to develop a new desalination proving plant in Oman.

The 150m3/d plant, to be located at Al Khaluf, will use Modern Water’s proprietary manipulated osmosis technology, and will be sited adjacent to an existing desalination plant which is currently operating below its design capacity due to difficult conditions.
