* The head of the Israeli Water Authority’s desalination division, Avraham Tenne, indicated at the EuroMed conference in Tel Aviv that the country’s installed desalination capacity could realistically climb to 4.8 million m3/d by 2040, from 1.2 million m3/d at present.
