Global Water Awards

Marriott Rive Gauche - Paris - 26th April 2010

With a keynote speech from Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan

The GWI Global Water Awards recognise excellence in the global water industry - the deals, the projects, the technologies and the people who have made a difference over the past year. The most important thing about the awards is that they represent what the industry perceives as being the most deserving of merit during the year. The process of selection begins with the solicitation of nominations which are then reduced to a shortlist by a panel of industry experts associated with Global Water Intelligence. The shortlist is then written up on the Globalwaterawards.com website and featured in Global Water Intelligence and Water Desalination Report. We then invite subscribers to these two titles, members of the International Desalination Association (IDA), and members of the International Private Water Association to vote. With the voting closed, the electronic ballots are added up and the winners selected. There are crystal glass awards for the Winner and Distinction in each category.

The Awards categories are:

  • Water Company of the Year: the water company that has made the most significant contribution to the development of the international water sector.
  • Desalination Company of the Year: the desalination plant supplier which has made the greatest overall contribution to the desalination industry.
