Global Water Intelligence and the International Desalination Association are pleased to announce:
Global Water Summit 2010: Transforming the World of Water
26th and 27th April at the Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris
The time for incremental change in the water industry has passed - and it has failed us. The challenge of global water sustainability is greater today than it was ten years ago. It is also greater today than it was two years ago. This is not just a matter of the steady increase in water scarcity, the continuous depreciation of our water infrastructure, and the on-going degradation of our water environment. It is also a matter of the tightening relationship between water and our staples: energy, food, and money.
There is a realisation among water leaders in many parts of the world that the only way in which we can guarantee our water future is by thinking radically. That is why the theme of this year’s GWI/IDA Global Water Summit is “Transformation”. We are bringing together the people at the cutting edge of this transformation to share their ideas and inspiration with you.
Our speakers are people who have moved and shaken the water industry over the past year. These are the people you have to meet if you need to know how to make the most of the water business over the next decade. The structure of our conference ensures that you can make the connection. With plenary sessions focusing on the big ideas, and more intimate round table discussions opening the way for one-to-one interaction, it is the only global water event which brings together big picture strategy with high level contacts.
Our Global Water Awards will take place on the evening of the 26th April and will once again be an opportunity to celebrate the best of the water industry. The key note speech at the awards dinner will be from Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan. This promises to be a fascinating evening as Queen Noor will be telling the story of water in Jordan and linking it to wider issues in the Middle East and beyond. Queen Noor is well known as a humanitarian, activist and outspoken voice on issues of global peace-building, nuclear non-proliferation and cross-cultural understanding and her unique perspective will enlighten us all.
Cancellation policy: We will charge a £50 administration charge on all refunds before 1st April 2010. After 1st April 2010 no refunds will be available.
