Water projects flow again in Malaysia

The award of the massive Langat 2 drinking water contract last month is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of Malaysia’s water infrastructure needs. Where will the next batch of opportunities come from?

The prize project in Malaysia’s water sector – the MYR993.89 million ($308 million) EPC contract for the 1.13 million m³/d Langat 2 water treatment plant – was awarded to a consortium of local companies last month after four years of delays and setbacks in the procurement process.
