Agadir paves way for PPP in Moroccan desal

The ink on its first BOT contract is barely dry, but Morocco’s bulk water producer and main utility is already considering private finance for future drinking water infrastructure.

Morocco’s national bulk power and water supplier is hoping to roll out more desalination PPP projects in the future, after awarding the contract for its first ever water BOT, a 100,000m³/d SWRO plant at Agadir.
