Vancouver reaches financial close on state-of-the-art wastewater P3

The complexities of a new secondary wastewater treatment plant in Metro Vancouver required private sector intervention at every level of the planning process. The municipality will only have a year to get up to speed before taking over operational responsibility.

The Acciona-led ADAPT consortium has reached financial close ahead of schedule on a new Can$525 million (US$391 million) wastewater treatment plant in Vancouver, British Columbia, which will meet new federal and provincial regulations on wastewater discharges.
