Water reuse steps out from desalination’s shadow in a tale of two sources

With demand for unconventional water resources accelerating, a new research report from GWI looks at the dynamics of the desalination and water reuse markets up to 2022.

Capital expenditure on desalination and water reuse facilities globally is set to increase by more than 60% in the period 2013-2022, according to a new primary research report published by Global Water Intelligence. Since 2010, with the end of the thermal desalination boom in the Middle East, spending on wastewater reuse has emerged from the shadow of seawater and brackish water desalination.
