BREWing up a new generation of water technologies

A. O. Smith has invested in two water start-ups as part of the Milwaukee-based BREW Accelerator programme. It is evidence of the company’s deepening interest in water.

Nanolytix, a fledgling Canadian company which uses artificial intelligence and sensor technologies to detect water quality in real time, was revealed late last month as the 2017 winner of the BREW Corporate: Powered by A. O. Smith challenge.

The start-up will receive an investment of at least $50,000 from A. O. Smith (AOS), whilst gaining access to its sponsor’s product engineering...
