Ganga PPP awards herald sewage treatment bonanza

India’s central government has awarded the first two of its long-awaited hybrid annuity wastewater PPP projects. The next challenge will be to bundle brownfield and greenfield assets together within individual tenders.

In late August, the National Mission For Clean Ganga (NMCG) simultaneously awarded the first two privately financed wastewater treatment projects to be tendered under the hybrid annuity PPP model.
