XPV backs new global water data analytics platform

XPV Water Partners has staked its claim in the digital water space by launching a new data management and analytics platform formed through the amalgamation of three industry leaders.
An equity injection into software specialist Aquatic Informatics enabled it to acquire both data monitoring firm WaterTrax and Linko Technology, which specialises in industrial wastewater software.
“The vision behind it is to manage water data from the raindrop to the potable water sample,” explained XPV founder David Henderson. “We’re taking that data and putting it into an analytics platform to help the end-user make good decisions,” he told GWI.
Aside from organic growth, there are a wealth of instant cross-selling opportunities for the combined platform within XPV’s universe of investee companies.
While the three companies’ sales efforts to date have been focused in North America and Australia, they are now pushing into Asia. “We’re helping them globalise the business,” Henderson concluded.
