Saur eyes accelerated international water growth

Published November 9th, 2017

Saur is looking to boost its annual revenues by more than 50% between now and 2022, with sales in the key international market of Saudi Arabia set to triple within the next five years, according to a new strategic initiative announced this morning.

The new strategy represents the vision of executive chairman Louis-Roch Burgard, who joined Saur a little over a year ago in the midst of a divestment programme designed to recast the group as a global pure-play water company.

Since then, Saur has sold its solid waste division, generating funds to grow the water side of the business.

With new international director Emmanual Vivant in place since last month, and a turnaround in the struggling engineering division underway, the group is on track to reach €2 billion of revenues by 2022.

The full interview with Louis-Roch Burgard will be published in next week’s issue of GWI magazine.
